The surface wind predictions for Florida landfall have shifted East.

This small shift East makes all the difference in the world to my worries. I hope it holds, or even grows! I'm so glad that low stalled over New England finally started moving and let the cold front from the midwest start on down, that's what's going to shove Irma north and east and out of my hair.
Fingers crossed that the gap widens and my friends on the other coast are likewise spared.
Even though nobody is spared yet... Still a lot of golf to play yet.

I know the coasts always have to upstage flyover country, but if that rolls up the seaboard like that it's going to be ugly. Let's hope it continues to push east and ends up just threatening fish and boats.
