Here's A Trivia Question For Y'All

I can find everything I'd ever wanna know about an AN/PVS-2 or an AN/PVS-4...

But near nothing about an AN/PVS-3.

What does the hive know?

The night vision that you'd described sounds more like the AN/TVS-2 than the AN/PVS-3. The TVS-2 was a lot more common on M2HBs than the PVS series scopes.

    2. Entirely possible, it's been nearly twenty years since I set foot in an arms room. But I do remember the PVS-3s to be large and never issued, only coming out of their locker for inventories.

    3. I giggle a bit that the PVS-3 is referred to as a "miniaturized" night vision scope.

      13.5" long, 3.5" wide, 3 lb.

      Compared to the PVS-2

      17.5" long, 3.5" wide, 6 lb.

      The AN/TVS-2 is MUCH larger:

      24.5" long, 6.375" wide, 16 lb.
