Savagery

Or Beware of Willards Bearing Gifts.

I have been presented with a Savage Model 99EG made in 1951 chambered in .300 Savage.

It's missing its butt plate and needs a thorough cleaning.

With a Dingus for scale.

I can now check off the "centerfire lever action" off my list.  I'd expected this niche to be filled by a Marlin 336 in .30-30.
