The roof of Harvey's car was rusting.
It's been doing it a while.
The Florida sun is relentless and the previous owner had already resprayed the hood and roof once.
So she decided we were going to do something about it.
We can't afford no fancy place like Maaco.
So we decided to DIY.
Marv is more knowledgeable about this painting stuff so he "gets" to help!
Yesterday was sanding off the old paint and rust and priming in Marv's climate controlled shop. Tip: Don't waste your time with 60 grit when stripping paint and rust, get the stripper wheel that attaches to a drill!
Today we're going to finish sand and do the color.
Tomorrow is wet sand polish.
I've got do that to my Exploder. It's only 16 years old and the roof looks like crap. I should fire whoever is in charge of that. Oh, wait. That's me.
