Maybe It's Just Me

More than once with food processing and construction I've read about when ICE shows up and arrests the workforce, there's a line of Americans around the block applying for the jobs that Americans won't do...

That sure seems to me that the employers froze Americans out of their workplace and that makes them complicit in hiring illegal labor.

I'm sure they have their weasel words ready and proof they're not technically liable, but...

  1. One thing a lot of people don't know about is that when an employer has a lot of illegals working for them they will often not hire anyone who isn't illegal because they don't want anyone who would blow the whistle on them. This often isn't something that comes from senior management (except in very small companies probably) but often something that comes from supervisor level people. Often they also get kickbacks under the table for looking the other way when someone doesn't have documents or has fake documents, so the more illegals they hire the more (untaxed) money they make. This just further worsens the problem of illegals taking jobs from citizens and green card holders. And that really is a real problem even though libtards claim it isn't, especially in border areas. And it isn't good for the illegals either, because they're taken advantage of. Often when you take out the bribes they have to pay they end up being paid under minimum wage and they can't say anything because of fear of reprisals. Many of these people are effectively trafficed.

Most libtard elitists don't know what really is going on. Especially if they live in places where there aren't millions of illegals around and because they don't leave their insulated high class world. For example they only see food service from the front of the store, not the kitchen.

  2. I’ve long said that arresting, prosecuting, convicting and SENTENCING (with meaningful sentences) a dozen or so CEO’s of a few selected companies within the food production/processing and construction industries and we’d solve our illegal immigration problem overnight.
Make an example of just a few and everybody else will find religion about vetting their workforce PDQ.

  3. That happened up in Postville, IA. There was this big kosher-food meat packing plant there run by Lubavitcher Hasidim, and they got raided real good---illegals working there, child labor, and a bunch of other charges. When the people who shouldn't have been working there were gone, there was a line of Americans who wanted those jobs. The boss of the place got a LONG sentence, and last I heard, he was complaining that the special kosher diet he was being served in prison wasn't kosher enough.
