DeleteWhat's funny about Scotland is that some witchy-twichy person I knew was complaining about the Salem witch trials and then in the same sentence went on about how wonderful Scotland was for witches.
Literally stopped me for a moment. As Scotland hated and openly persecuted anyone who was not a follower of the unnamed state religion. That's openly persecuted Christians of other Sects. What mainstream Scotland did to suspected witches makes anything that happened at Salem or with the Spanish Inquisition seem tame.
Oh well. It's Scotland. Land of something something.
Least my Scottish people came from Normandy first and were never any highlander. Same with my Irish side, no bogtrotters...
