We know, from The Bell Curve, that, on the whole, Asians are more intelligent than white people.
We know, from history, that communism is one of the worst forms of government.
We are fortunate that so much of Asia has, stupidly, chosen this form of government to waste their superior intellect on.
It's less that they've chosen it, than that they're innate followers of whoever is in power.

Thus this is entirely cultural: they're ant people.
Productive, industrious, and wholly lacking the freedom gene, in nearly all cases.
A billion Thomas Paines and Sam Adamses in China wouldn't just scare the bejeezus out of TPTB in Beijing, it would scare the bejeezus out of the rest of the world, and resemble nothing so much as dropping two plutonium half-spheres onto each other on the flat side.
