Let Us Thank Goldie Hawn

It would appear that Kurt Russel was originally cast as Connor MacLeod.

Goldie talked him out of it to "star" in "Big Trouble In Little China."

I cannot imagine BTILC without Mr Russel.

    Truly. He's so American that it would not have gone well for him to be McCloud. Much better Jack Burton or Snake Pliskin.

    Christopher Lambert had the accent to make one believe that Connor McCloud wasn't a stock American but some foreigner who speaks English well but with a 'can't really place the accent' accent.
