And he's a hero!
This guy most likely saved lives with this actions. Literal good guy with a gun. The media just cannot accept that.
Another thing the media gets wrong; the police didn't just roll up and shoot him to death for being black and having a gun. Almost like there isn't systemic racism in every police force and hardly any cops are bastards.
Go figure.

I live in Muskegon, MI which is about 2 hours plus a bit from Traverse City. My wife and I visited that area in April for a mini vacation. It hit me when I saw the first article about this topic that we could have been there when it happened, even in a mid sized city such as Traverse City. You just cannot escape the world and it's dangers.
ReplyDeleteMy wife understands why I don't leave home without my firearm. This attack just reinforced why it is important.
I have changed from my normal carry gun of a Ruger SR9c, a fine gun, and now carry the Rossi RP63, a 3" barrel model chambered in .357 Magnum, but loaded with 125 grain Hornady Critical Defense in .38 special. I am 65 years old, and make it a habit to avoid crowded places and 6 rounds plus a 6 round speed strip should get me and my companion(s) away from trouble.
My mindset is reinforced that I try and avoid any possible conflict, with running away being an even stronger part of my planning.
I noticed he was holding it sideways. I'd be willing to contribute to get him some lessons in proper gun handling and marksmanship. The next nut he runs into might need actual ventilation.
