I should really make an entire series about this.
Watching Ray Donovan and the foley artist seems to think that a revolver's cylinder has a ratchet in it.
The characters open the action and spin the cylinder and it makes a bike coasting noise.
At least most of them are not slapping it back closed. Progress!
