The Central District of Illinois dismissed the charges and the government did not appeal.

The suits over SBR, SBS, and AOW have a precedent in this case.

    Interesting... I'll wait and see of course. I'd like to get a "shorter" AR type rifle (I refuse to call them "pistols", but I'm probably just strange that way), but I'd also like to avoid legal issues or being put on even more lists :-) Army taught me well that the "Don't be first, don't be last" rule is a good one...
