I do! If you're going to be on a horse with your horse pistol, you need a lanyard, otherwise you might drop it all the way to the ground and have to dismount to retrieve it. And a cavalryman on the ground is, at best, a dragoon; at worst [shudder] an infantryman.
I even have a holster that fits it like it was made for it... because it was.
