Color Me Shocked

I think I'm the last person on the planet I would have expected to be warming up to the AKM.

But I am.

The Magpul furniture fixed the feel of the rifle and the length of the stock.

The side rail allows for optics and there's been a bit of a revolution in them for the AK series in the past ten years.

It's a little on the heavy side, but not unduly so.

  1. I hate the mags. FAL and AR mags work like second nature to me. AK mags just don't consistently seat for me.

    1. I think it's a matter of so many makers not bothering to get the catch correct. The PSAK's needed trimmed down and I've seen that with Century guns before too.

  2. I've never had an issue with mags fitting and functioning in my Polytech Legend. That thing will consume any kind of 7.62x39 ammo you can feed it. Chinese, Russian, Yugo, steel case, brass... plastic mags, metal mags. Doesn't seem to matter what country they are from, it feeds and just keeps going.
