Happy Unbirthday To Me

Today was my due date when Mom found out she was pregnant with me!

I did not stick to that plan and came out a month and half earlier.

I might have been a little bit fun to have been born on Groundhog Day.

    I am 64, so medical technology was not quite as advanced then as it is now. My mom knew that I was coming after the doctor told her, " hey there is another one in here".
    My twin brother was born 15 minutes before me.

      My best woman at my wedding was born almost the same distance premature as I was, but almost three years earlier. She's got retina damage from the oxygen tenting they did for premies then. Between her birthday and mine, they figured out better methods.

      Technology moving along is a good thing.

      They still occasionally use oxygen tents, one of my nephews has retina issues from being very premature in the early oughts.
