You almost hit it, means "Brown" and there are almost as many Browns as there are Smiths Is an FN Browning model 1903 worth 1299 bucks? Saw one yesterday for sale at that price - don't have the scratch but it sure was a nice piece.

I've seen them for that much. And I've seen them for $400. Condition is everything.
