I find the punishment appropriate to the crime.

The punishment may be appropriate to the crime (the crime, in this case, being felony stupid).
ReplyDeleteBut I do sort of understand the homeowner's viewpoint. He's got to clean out the garage so people can get in and remove the body. They're probably going to take the safe as evidence, at least temporarily. He's going to have police and coroners roaming around his property, using his bathrooms, and if he's a halfway decent person, he's going to be offering them bottled water while they work.
Plus he's probably going to have to call one of those crime scene cleanup companies to get rid of the blood and other residue left behind by the panini who was formerly a crook. I don't know if that kind of expense is usually covered by homeowner's insurance or not: but even if he's not out more than his deductible in the long term, it's still a pain in the neither regions.
