It's not a huge failure, but I bumped into how naming a round is simpler and clearer than caliber x case length again.
You end up using the names.
20x110mmRB Oerlikon.
20x110mm Hispano
20x110mm USN
The US Navy used all three in the same time period.
There are guides on how to tell them apart. USN and Hispano are very difficult to tell apart visually, the USN round for the Colt 20mm guns is derived from the OG Hispano gun and round.
Isn't history fun!
I've got Oerlikon and USN finished for GURPS. Working on Hispano now, at least the US issue rounds. Like the Oerlikon, everyone and their brother used the Hispano-Suiza HS.404 in some form or another.
