The person I am staying with is tolerantly liberal.
She's got a friend over and he's talking about trying to find a local YMCA.
He's dropped like ten casually racist sentences in his discussion.
I don't think he's even aware he's done it.

The North has always been more racist than the South, contrary to what 'most people' think or believe. A lot of Northern Abolitionists wanted the slaves freed, just not free in the north. Nothing's changed in 150 years.
