Greece hung onto the Garand long enough to issue M1951 style pouches.
Each one will hold two en-bloc clips per pocket, for 32 rounds per pouch.
Kinda neat!

That's gotta be a heavy pouch spot.
ReplyDeleteStill prefer the 10-pocket single clip-per-pouch belt, but if someone was just looking for enough to grab and go when something went "Bump", it wouldn't be bad.
Then again, an Alice buttpack with a GP strap holds 20 or so loaded clips, so there's that.
I'll toss it on the scale when it gets here and compare it to the M1951 universal pouch we issued.
