Not Suppressing Your 1st Amendment Right

I am not saying you cannot say that.

I am not trying to forbid you from saying that.

I am making fun of you for saying that.

    Some people, mostly liberals seem to think that any criticism or disagreement is somehow suppressing their right to free speech. As you know, not only are private entities not legally bound the same way as the government, freedom of speech also protects other people's right to lampoon or satarize or outright make fun of people for their opinions. If it didn't every late night show host starting with Kimmel and Colbert would have been jailed a long time ago.

    But the left wants a political echo chamber where only their views are allowed and they want to legislate politicl correctness. This has been true for decades. The party that has always claimed to be the defender of the 1st Amendment has actually done far more to trash it than "right wingers" ever have.

      The Leftoids are also the "speech is violence" crowd, which apparently justifies assault because they feel threatened by a MAGA hat
