The total outside volume of an M855 round is 0.1778 cu/in.
The total outside volume of the LSAT I drew from a picture is 0.2075 cu/in.
Yet it's definitely a more compact round than the conventional one.
More compact doesn't always mean less volume.
This is what we call an illustrative example.
