Took the old HVAC box apart:
This was my original plan back in April last year. Remove the box, replace the evaporator and heater core, seal it back up, put back in the car.
Well, I bought the parts to do it; but got scared of the idea that the windshield had to come out and dragged my feet until the complete assembly became available as new-old-stock.
With the parts in hand and stalling putting the car in the air to get the parking brake fixed...
Now Marv and I have a spare HVAC assembly!
Getting apart let me get a look at the old evaporator with a black light.
Yup, that's evidence of a leak.
