Did Monsieur Enjoy His Last Meal?

One of the blocks of rat poison we left out is about 1/4 eaten!

I have no idea how much of a block it needs to consume to meet Rat Jeebus, but this is a good sign we got the right poison!

  1. Or, on the other hand ....... you may be dealing with the meanest, toughest, most badass rat that ever walked. I recommend something in the heavy .30 caliber range and have a 45/70 available for loan.

  2. I have found that rat poison means he will die in some obscure place and stink up the joint.

The electric zapper rat traps work best, from my experience. Take some bread, cram it in the bait section and soak it with the liquid from a can of tuna. Every time I did this results were within 2 hours, even in occupied sections.

The sticky traps only really work on mice and juvenile rats. Put in some place that forces them to travel over it. Like under a baseboard with a heavy box blocking the outside. I've laid down two and gotten whole generations of rat babies that way. Only problem is they squeak so if your wife or kid is soft-hearted, place the now full glue trap in a bag or box and in the freezer. Or smash their little heads in.

Physical snap traps, well, old school wood ones are the only ones that work. And bait them with tuna or wet catfood.

    1. Dealt with the stink before. We do have a couple snap traps set, but he's got a route around them.
