The new air handler will freak you out, in a good way. You're going to find your air system blowing dirt and smutz out of the registers.
ReplyDeleteDo, if you can, get your ducts cleaned, either by you (which sucks) or by a professional (which costs) sometime soon. Seriously. If your ducts are dirty, cleaning them will make a world of difference even with the old air handler, but with the new, it will be crazy.
And the new air handlers are super efficient, almost to the point where you can leave the fan running 24/7 and only have to worry about the AC kicking on to cool.
Between the new unit, larger and more efficient, and the air handler, you're going to be cooler than ever.
We're going to save up to have the ducts done ($1,200 estimate) then have new insulation blown into the attic ($1,000 estimate) at a later date.

If you aren't joking about the ramen ... Prepare the ramen in a bowl in microwave, making sure to break up to at least toothpick length. Pour off or drink broth, leaving noodles in bowl. Fry up two scrambled eggs and when half way cooked, combine ramen into frying pan and cook fully. Turn off heat and cover for several minutes. Surprisingly good, at least to me. I season with lime pepper.

Delete3/4 cooked scrambled egg added to the broth with green onion retains the soup character and adds some welcome protein and texture.
