A staple of growing up in the Cold War was the annual coverage of the military parade the Soviets would throw in Red Square.
For a scale-model making geek, it was awesome!
I don't know if they still do the parade, but they don't mention it in the news like they used to.
Russians are probably too capitalist for our press to salivate over now.
