Cautiously Optimistic

Ran some errands today.

Still running at the end of the running around!

Fingers crossed!

  1. Just think how much money you may have just saved yourself. What would a repair shop charge you, besides an arm and a leg?

Glad you have the know-how and the support structure to fix things yourself. You're definitely a better man than I am.

    1. Even spending the $340 on parts that were probably not bad, I am likely money ahead of having a dealer plug their Tech 2 into my car and beginning the diagnosis.

  2. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. It's an old saying the "fuses don't blow for no reason". The really hard part is that sometimes they do. Sometimes.

Couple of weeks ago, I took apart my shop vac to find it was a fuse (of a sort) that opened. I replaced it. Worked for about 10 days and failed again.

Troubleshooting intermittent problems is hard. Troubleshooting problems that show up every couple of weeks is a real PITA.

    1. The fuse isn't blown. It's got a flaw in it that causes an open when it gets hot.

      Heat gun tested!
