June gun sales crush previous records.
People are out there buying guns in the face of a threat of a ban. They're not expecting to hand them in a few months.
Contrast this with California. With fatalistic resignation they started looking for how they could be in compliance with the new tyranny, because they'd already surrendered the most important part of gun ownership... letting the government know exactly how many you have and where they are.
There was no mass purchase of anything that was being banned by the passed legislation in California. Because they knew they'd just have to hand them in... Never mind the 5th amendment violation of confiscation without compensation...
To gun owners everywhere.
Buy a gun that nobody knows you have. Push comes to shove that might be the only gun you're left with.
