Bleeding Hearts And Artists

Florida has a bill in the house that will change the way that convicts can get their sentence reduced.

At present qualified inmates (there's many crimes which don't allow for time off for good behavior) can take 10 days off their sentence for every month served, but must serve 85% of their assigned sentence.

HB189 would change that to 20 days off the sentence for every month served and lower the minimum time to 65%.

I'm against this kind of thing because it doesn't do what they think it does.
