So, who else makes Soviet/Warsaw Pact ammo?
I can see an export opportunity for Serbia, Czech Republic and Poland here.
I'm getting sick of these ammo bans, but I'm also OK with not sending money to nations to hate us just for the sake of cheap goods.
I'm conflicted, but I'm more upset about executive fiat bans on legal goods.
They might have plants that could make the stuff in ex-East Germany.
ReplyDeleteThe former DDR plants are part of the German defense industry now, and subject to the same stupid export laws that keep lots of fun things from coming here from H&K.
DeleteAnd are subject to the insane 'Green' laws that Germany has. So, well, those places have been shut down for a looooong time.
Deletetula and others are already manufacturing parts of their line in taiwan and indonesia.

ReplyDeleteAgreed, I am happy to sanction Putin Xie Jinping, and a host of Chinese toadies by not buying stuff, but I strongly oppose bans by Fiat. I also find it noteworthy that President Owned and Operated hasn't banned vodka imports. As for alternative sources I get the impression S&B and PPU are already flat out along with Magtech and Igman.
ReplyDeleteI remember buying 1200rd cases of Norinco .223 ammo... brass case, boxer primed... $75 or so per case at Jacobsen's. Less than that at gun shows. Then came the Bush Sr. and Clinton executive order bans... And ammo prices went up... Now that f-tard Biden is banning Russian imports too... We're already in a massive ammo shortage, this is definitely intentional. F Biden. @$$#013.
ReplyDeleteCutting off the Russian supply might just spur that domestic makers to FINALLY admit they need to expand production not just hope the demand slacks off.
