Just as the left cannot understand that free speech is literally letting anyone say anything they want...
They don't understand censorship.
Censorship is the government preventing an author from writing a book.
Censorship is the government forbidding the publishing of a book.
Censorship is the government banning the purchase of a book by anyone.
Censorship is the government ordering the destruction of all copies of a book everywhere.
Censorship is NOT the government refusing to purchase a book.
Censorship is NOT the government placing limits and restrictions on who may read a government owned copy of a book.
Censorship is NOT the government discarding the copies of a book they already own (even if they burn their copies).
So, let's just check the math books in Florida for censorship.
The books have been written and published. Florida is discarding the copies it presently owns and refusing to purchase more. Florida is not even attempting to keep private citizens from buying their own copies to read. Florida is not ordering private citizens to destroy their own copy.
Nope, not censorship.
The Left, as always, uses almost the exact opposite meaning of the word when they use the word. Censorship only means, to a leftist, controlling what is said in order that their meanings and words are the only ones allowed. You know, real censorship, by government, by business, by media and by the masses.

DeleteOne thing that is telling... is that most leftists would have no trouble with censorship... IF it is directed towards "conservative" publications. Ask how many of them would love to forbid the NRA from publishing "American Rifleman" or outright banning the NRA. In fact... a lot of them openly say that they'd like to do both of those things. I've been a member of the NRA and a subscriber to American Rifleman for years... And funny how I've never read the supposed "hate speech" or racism that the leftists claim is there from any official NRA spokesperson or published in any of their books or magazines. Of course the great irony about the Democratic party in particular is that for years they've preached how they are the defenders of the 1st Amendment and freedom of speech... while at the same time so many people who are even considered "mainstream Democrats", let alone the left fringers have openly called for restrictions that would essentially trash the 1st Amendment entirely. In fact arguing for restrictions that go way beyond any I've seen demanded from anyone on the right.
