More Tired

The Beast needs new shoes.

Happily a local branch of a regional tire place is having a sale of buy three get four tires in my size from a brand I like.

Tires are certainly cheaper for The Beast than they were for The Precious!

It's been interesting reading reviews for the tire and getting people's opinion about how they perform in snow.

You don't get too many snow reviews for Corvette tires.

  1. I can't help with Commodore tyre recommendations from Oz, either.

Snow? On the roads? Say what?

    1. Snow and ice on the roads was a major driver in convincing me to move from Iowa to Florida.

Never mind all the rust from the salt the spread to clear the roads.

    2. Thankfully, we have neither snow nor salt on the roads here.

In fact I had never actually seen snow until I was visiting Detroit during Christmas when in my thirties.

What we DO have is summer days that routinely hit 100+ degrees Fahrenheit. (42 Celsius is not uncommon.)

That was a real shock to the system the January day we flew home from a vacation in Canada.

Forty Celsius below zero when we left Canada, and forty Celsius above zero when we arrived in west Oz.

  2. If you haven’t bought them yet, and if you can DM me, please do, I work for the mfg of the OE tire and can get you a significant discount if that’s appealing…
