It's a 1992 made wz.88 kit built for Interarms on an Armory USA receiver.
It's apparently an earlier distribution of Interarms' guns because it's sporting an original Polish chrome-lined barrel! Score Willard! From skimming the AK boards, this is the Tantal you want if you're going to buy a pre-made gun. And he got it for cheaper than the Century Arms gun in Tampa and the very tacticoolized Century in Port Richey.
The only thing "wrong" was the little spring clips for the handguards were in the back of them instead of up front where they belong. Easily fixed!
It's not the same as my Tantal in several respects.
Mine was made on an accurate rendition of a wz.88 receiver, so I have the lower safety and the (now) cosmetic selector switch. Willard's is made on a normal AK-74 lower so it has a normal AK safety/selector and no controls at all on the opposite side. His also skips the rail. I have a single-hook trigger; he has a double hook.
Mine's the as-issued black paint on bright steel, his is parkerized.
Soon, his will be sporting a laminated wood fixed stock.
