Merry Christmas Willard!

It's an Interarms import of an Egyptian Helwan, as copied from Beretta by Maadi.

This one is not without its problems.  The plunger that releases the locking block is burred, and it gets stuck occasionally.  I'll be darned if I can figure out how that plunger is retained so I can get at the burr.

    1. There's a screw that comes out that makes me think you can then remove the locking block. But the block can't slide out while the plunger is still there.

      It's very frustrating.

    2. The screw is also staked on most examples. J.B. Wood recommended against removing either.

  2. The screw came RIGHT out. It wasn't torqued down at all, and if you tighten it, the block starts to bind on it.

I am thinking that quality is not jobs 1 through 15 at Maddi.

The problem appears that the plunger thingy is too soft and it's mushrooming or bent in the hole. Ultimately, I think Willard is going to end up buying a real Beretta from Numrich if this thing don't shoot.
