An 8-year old "independent" Office of Congressional Ethics, voted in largely on partisan lines by the newly Democrat majority House of Representatives is being eliminated by the same body that created it, also, largely on partisan lines.
This might be a bad plan, but unlike 2008 this Congress has a mandate from the voters.
That mandate is almost literally, "erase Obama from history".
This is one of the oldest things in his era, so it's appropriate to start there.
Of note, it was kind of tedious locating the vote on the resolution (not even a law) that created this redundant ethics committee.
