The amount deducted from Harvey's check has remained about the same for healthcare.
I have to admit that Obamacare has indeed saved us money.
Before if she was feeling sick or had an injury it was a $50 copay and she went and got cared for.
Now the first $2,500 annual deductable is on us, plus a $200 copay per occurrence.
So now rather than just paying a few hundred a year on copays, we simply don't go because we don't have the $2,500 laying around.
I remind people that the rate they were taking from her check was profitable for the insurance companies before Obamacare, despite having to pay-out more per visit.
Even with our part costing much more, the profits are gone for these companies.
