More Attainable

Tickling the same whimsy is the Remington TAC-14 Hardwood.

These are selling for less than $400 on Gunbroker.

No, I have no use for such things, but they delight me as toys.

If there was no room for something of limited utility that gives us joy, there'd be no The Precious in my garage and everyone would own a 4-door crossover SUV.

  1. That would be a nice Alaskan fisherman protection gun. Them grizzlies eating salmon get pretty big and frisky !! More firepower than a revolver.

  2. I wonder how many of those short shotgun shells it would hold?
I wonder if there is a magazine conversion for it?
It might not be practical, but to quote the words of a certain famous tidying up person, it would "Spark joy."
I wonder if you could get it in a Model 1887 lever action? Then maybe you could do the John Wayne twirling action cycle thing!
What about a gas operated version? (I should have checked before asking the question)

Some of the above questions were addressed in this article about the Mossberg version.

    1. If it's like my 870 express, the Tac-14 can't feed the shorty shells.

    3. Sign your damn work!

https://opsolmini-clip.com/ is a neat little thing that lets a Mossberg use the adorable little shells.

  3. Ugh. 4 door crossover. Just give me a lobotomy. :-/

Yeah, I've got no practical use for that either, but if someone wants one as a toy, more power to them.

    1. 4-door crossover... Like my Equinox! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I marvel that the 2.4 liter 4-banger in it makes more grunt than the 5 liter V-8 that came in The Biscayne. Lots better mileage. No style at all though.

    2. Of course a 2.4L 4 banger when your Biscayne was built didn't put out that kind of power either. And if GM built a full size rear wheel drive 4-door car today, it would probably come with a 5.3L V8 that put out better than 350HP. Well, probably that would be one engine choice out of several. Probably the base engine would be the 3.6L V6 they use in the base model Camaros. It is a shame that only Mopar is building a car like that these days. The Charger could use some competition from GM and Ford.
