This Would Sure Be Cool

Bill introduced to repeal the NFA.

With the current make-up of the House of Representatives and occupant of The White House, I don't expect it to get anywhere, but one can always hope.

If it does pass, I think I will frame my stamps.

Sadly it's typical of the Republicans to only make attempts like this when they are doomed to fail.

  1. Bills like this are always introduced when they have no hope of being passed, so some politician can grandstand and look good to his political base. (This goes for both parties.) And when you consider that the Congressman who introduced this bill was in some kind of trouble a while ago that made him look bad to his base (I can't remember what it was; my poor brain gets tired trying to keep all the Congressional scandals straight), the reason behind this bill's introduction is fairly obvious.
