Tom Godwin is anonymously famous for the short story "The Cold Equations".
A while ago I bought a Kindle edition of collected works of his and only read the most famous story, because I'd only heard the debates and never read the actual story.
The other day I said, "You know, Thag, you paid for the other stories, you should read them."
So I have been.
So far, I'm liking his work. "The Survivors," is the bulk of the collection and it's been excellent so far.
