Hydrazine

ArachnoThag's EVA thrusters are going to be powered by hydrazine.

While it's nasty shit, it's got a lot of utility.

Not least of which is an 800°C plume from one of the thrusters consisting of unfriendly byproducts.

Or you could just vent it.

It's a powerful self defense item if your body is made from something that's immune to the corrosive effects and doesn't need to breathe.

    If you recall the vehicles chasing down the Space Shuttle every time it landed, there was alway two carrying infrared instruments that looked for hydrazine before anyone got near the space craft. I worked with the company that made them.

    I've always wanted one of those Hydrazine powered "drag axles" they made back in the 1960s... Supposedly they generated upwards of 1000hp to the rear wheels for long enough to push most cars to 1/4 mile times in the 9s.
