That link will expire before long, so if it doesn't work, it's because you're looking at this post a long time from now!
Starting bid was $3,295. I'll update the final price when (if?) it sells.
This is the rarest of rare Finnish Mosin-Nagants. Something like 300 left in the entire world!
Gun Jeebus did a vid:
I'm sorry, but I just don't see a $3,295 rifle in that photo. Just one less bidder for the product.

It's too rich for me also. I love some Mosins, but never had a Finnish one due to the prices being high even back when the C&R milsurp market in Shotgun News was flush with cheap Mosins, Mausers, etc. For me that's an awful lot of money to pay for something I'd want to shoot. I'm just not that dedicated of a collector. But there are certainly people who are, which is why it'll probably get bid up from there. I've got examples of most of the variants of Russian Mosins including some that aren't very common, but I didn't pay more than 1/10th the price that this auction is for any of them. And I've got a bunch of "battlefield pickup" M44s that I think I paid around $40 each for, when you bought 6 or more from Centerfire Systems. Ones in similar condition are sometimes listed for 10x what I paid for mine. The supply from the importers dried up 10+ years ago, so it was pretty inevitable prices would go up.
ReplyDelete"The supply from the importers dried up 10+ years ago, so it was pretty inevitable prices would go up" Those were some great years. Southern Ohio Gun and AIM offering WWII and older bolt rifles for the price of a C-Note. Swiss K31s - oh my gosh, what a rifle ! Now those were worth breaking the piggy bank.
