Do I Want This?

While the topic is interesting...

Do I really want another expensive book on a topic that I'm barely interested in?

I expect, like Collector's Armory books, getting in for $85 is a hell of a deal.

I am not sure I want another $100 book without gaming to spur me to one-up players or a GM.

  1. I know exactly how you feel. This looks like a nicely put together book, $85 is probably a great price, and I suspect I'll be kicking myself for not getting one.

But I've already spent over $200 this year on expensive limited run gun books (including one Ian recommended) plus my usual compulsive gun book purchasing. And those books were in areas I'm much more invested in: I don't know that I really care that much about French military rifles ("never fired, only dropped once").

  2. I know how you feel. I go on Amazon and see books I'd give my eye teeth for, then look at the prices, look at my (currently nonexistent) finances, and sigh.
