Getting The Boy's bike ready for the State level Special Olympic Games I was struck by the image...
I think it's just a wonderful picture.
Yes, that is moss on the Biscayne...

Interesting picture. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's Florida. Car outside will have moss or stuck pollen on it, unless you wash it weekly.
ReplyDeleteHey Angus;
ReplyDeleteNow I know what the Biscayne is...the Last of the Rear Wheel drive impala's Is yours the SS version?
Cool pic bTW
The Biscayne started life as a 1991 Caprice Classic with a 305 smallblock.
DeleteWhen I de=chromed it and put a '95 Impala SS engine and trans in there it was starting to look a lot like an Impala, but the Impala community really detests clones and cloners.
So I dug out the history book and checked to see what the stripped down version of the B-Body was through the ages.
Bel Air, Del Ray, Biscayne, Impala and Caprice had all been B marques and had all been the base model for one generation or another.
So I latched onto Biscayne because Key Biscayne is in Florida!
The story we tell the marks at car shows is: Biscayne is the export name of the police package for Europe for the Caprice/Impala from 1991-1996. Only Poland bought them...
The story is bolstered somewhat with the Impala SS being badged Caprice SS in middle eastern sales.
