I bought the Baa Baa Black Sheep (Squadron) DVDs.
Season 1 played (with one dead disc). The dead disc was replaced with one from the second half of season 1 I'd accidentally purchased.
Season 2, all three discs are dead.
WTF?
I am very upset, but there's no real recourse.

Can't you return them and get your money back?
ReplyDeleteGot them from ebay.
DeleteI've bought a lot of stuff from Ebay over the years, and I've always had the option of returning things.
DeleteHave you tried ripping them with something like Jack the Ripper? Ripping software on a PC may be able to read discs that fail to play on a hardware player. You might be able to burn a new DVD-R or watch the video on your computer.
ReplyDeleteIf I could get a computer to read the discs, I'd have something to rip. The DVD-ROM spins for a bit then quits. The Mac gives up and ejects them.
DeleteAh, yeah, I'm assuming you probably already tried cleaning and polishing the disc surfaces too. If a DVD-R drive won't even read them you're probably SOL. :-(
