Open Carry Or Not

I was looking at a holster for a Luger.

When the lid is closed on this gun valise there is absolutely no pistol visible.

If I wear the holster openly, am I concealed or open carrying?

I notice that Florida law is light on definitions about this.

A cell phone and a decent sized snack fits in a Luger holster, I am curious to see if I'd even be asked about the "gun" if I used it as a cell phone carrier.

  1. Hah, be funny to have some cop freak out about your sausage holder. Hmmm...

I seem to remember the old US cavalry holsters were pretty much total coverage, also. Though I don't think the law makers had that version of 'concealed' in their minds. Might work in Free Florida, but in RINO or DEM Florida, nah, be too risky. Some shaky handed Barney Fife will ventilate you over your fashion choice.

Which, of course, is why Constitutional Carry is a necessity in this state. Would clean up a lot of questions about a lot of things. But, of course, those RINOS and DEMS are blocking that, along with supposedly pro-2A bloggers...

    1. We finally got partial open carry of handguns (long guns have always been legal) over here in TX. By partial I mean that it must be secured in a "belt or shoulder holster". No "meskin" carry, etc. Better than nothing, but still not perfect. Anyway, it has been a complete non-issue as far as I can tell. I know the mainstream media would be all over even the slightest incident that might happen, and I've not heard a peep other than the tired old bleating about how awful it is allowed. Well, those people would have everyone including LE unarmed and the criminals allowed unfettered mayhem, so I think most people are growing weary of hearing all that.
