Old Plinkers

Grampa's 1938 made Remington 341 Sportsmaster, I am the second owner.  He was a farm-hand for many years and shooting rats in the grain bins brought a bonus to payday.

The Colt Challenger is a pawn-shop find that didn't have grips.  I adapted some aftermarket Woodsman stocks.

  1. ISTR they had those Colt Commanders for use at the range at ISU.

    1. The High Standard looks very similar and was also common with college shooting teams.

  3. Grip fitment looks good. How much work was it to adapt?

    1. The track the follow-button rides in needed to be opened up quite a bit.

I have stupid sharp chisels, so it wasn't much work at all.

A bit tedious in; shave some off, check fit, shave some off, check fit...
