I've a few liberal acquaintances who are extremely pro-choice.
The reversal of Roe v Wade has them really pissed off.
They all have something in common.
Stable marriage and no kids.
Something else in common: When I ask how did they manage to stay married so long without having kids, they don't mention getting abortions.
So I then ask, "why can't everyone use your methods to avoid having unwanted kids?"
That's when I get yelled at.
It always puzzles me, because they know I'm not exactly a staunch supporter of the pro-life side.
"The soft racism of low expectations" rears its ugly head.
ReplyDeleteIt's also a short hop from there to realizing that Margaret Sanger's driving motivation for Planned Parenthood was euthansia for P.O.C., lest the unwhite hordes breed and multiply.
Follow that train of thought, and before you know it, you're dropping off boxcars at Auschwitz and Treblinka.
Amazingly, little of that was much problem until you broke up families of a certain demographic, which were historically more stable than anyone else's, by substituting government welfare checks for fathers as though they were interchangeable.
The late Daniel Patrick Moynihan even warned TPTB of exactly the likelihood of this exact outcome, in detail, before it started.
Hmmm.
