I'm not sure if every 308 came with a dogleg but this car is running a custom box judging from the whine of straight cut gears.
Doglegs are more common than I'd originally thought and I hear they're an epic pain in the ass for daily driving if you're accustomed to the more traditional pattern.
"Get a reverse lockout that takes a deliberate effort to disengage," is the advice I've been given.

Interesting to see that the 308 has a dog-leg gearbox.
