Joe Lies People Dies

Nobody lost healthcare under Obamacare?

Fuck you Joe!

*I* lost healthcare under Obamacare.

Obamacare caused The Lovely Harvey's employer to upend the health insurance offered and when the smoke cleared she was paying more for substantially less coverage and I had no coverage at all.

We both lost healthcare under Obama care. I lost it all, The Lovely Harvey lost a great deal.

By the way, with the gigantic deductible The Lovely Harvey is literally not covered by insurance until we're out of pocket for $3,000. It discourages her from seeking preventative care.

While we watch people who don't work and don't pay taxes (in fact getting back more than they pay every year) get 100% health coverage with zero out of pocket.

WHICH IS THE EXACT SAME HEALTHCARE THEY HAD BEFORE OBAMACARE!!!

Obamacare *IS* an epic fucking of the middle class and I refuse to let you lie about it Joe.

Also, to let you be aware how popular it is, people stayed home to allow someone they absolutely LOATHED be reelected rather than elect Mittens Romney, author of Romneycare.

  1. There are books that can be written down this road.

The company I retired from used to have good insurance, family coverage, and reasonable deductibles - about a third of the Lovely Harvey's. When Obamacare came, it was labeled a Cadillac plan and the company would be penalized, so they passed to costs onto us. Our deductibles went up to the same level as hers, and our out of pocket cost for the insurance itself doubled. I'm sure there's stuff I'm not remembering.

The number of uninsured people in the country has gone up, costs have skyrocketed, the amount of hassle for the medical side has skyrocketed, it's an unmitigated disaster for everyone.

  3. Yeah, with the passage of ObamaCare, I saw my health bills skyrocket. Insurance, co-pays, visit fees.

And the controls over pharmaceuticals went cray-cray. What we used to be able to get a 90 day prescription of XYZ now required a monthly visit to the doc to get a new script.

The Unaffordable Care Act was a giant rape of the American Public.

And who can remember the way the Dems passed it, late night, back-party deals, "You can read the Act when we pass the Act."

Trump may be an a-hole (personally, I have found him not to be. Forward, speaking truth, strong? Yes. Ahole? No.) But Biden? What a friggin jackass. No. That's insulting jackasses. Biden is everything wrong with the American Political System.

And I enjoyed watching Trump make fun of him and bitch-slap him and the moderator around.

Damn. Good thing I wasn't drunk-watching it. I'da been hammered by 30 minutes into it if I drank every time Biden lied or the moderator tried to derail Trump.

  4. Angus- Ditto what you, Graybeard, and Beans have experienced.
At present, our yearly out-of-pocket is $6000 and we have just been informed that our standard office and ER visits will now go up an additional $200 per...on TOP of the fact that I am now paying over $600 a month for the privilege of this coverage.
Wife is disabled and requires monthly Doc visits and a boat-load of meds.
Wifes elderly-hippie uncle (401k and two homes) had the BALLS to mock me and ask why I "THOUGHT" I was paying more for med care.
    ?!?!?!
    Karma's a bitch though...
Same uncle lost his little liberal mind when Trump was elected and started making thinly veiled death threats about POTUS on Facebook.
He got a not so polite visit from the Secret Service and now no longer discusses politics WITH ANYONE. Ever! ...so...upside.

  5. Similar story here. Before the Obamacare screwed everything up I had a decent plan. Then it was declared invalid because it covered some stuff too well, and didn't cover some things ACA requires. The replacement plan cost twice as much for my employer and me both and had double the deductible and most of the co-pays also doubled or tripled. Like with Harvey, the high deductible made it basically unusable except for emergency coverage.

Ultimately you can't give people something for nothing. ACA took insurance from as many as it gave to and greatly increased the costs to most people so a few people could get it for 'free'. Most of which were already getting their healthcare for free because it was getting written off -- now they have a card everyone else is paying for anyway.
