Being on the GM side of the Ford/Chevy debate in hot-rodding means that the brakes on my car came from Australia.
I noticed that on the castings for my '79 Camaro and they were present on the Biscayne SS and Corvette too.
But The Beast is running Brembo.
I bought an Australian car and for the first time in decades, my brakes aren't.
I guess having Italian brakes means continuing the tradition of the calipers being from a different nation than the car.
