The Industry Might Be A Tad Insular

With rumors of Wizards of the Coast bringing back the Dark Sun setting without the core tenant of everyone BUT the 12 Sorcerer Kings being a slave of some kind...

AND

The "we know this will come as a surprise to you unwashed, low born, scumbag customers, but: Slavery is wrong!" in GURPS 4eR.

It makes me think that Steve Jackson Games was trying to get ahead of the Dark Sun release and be more virtuous than them.

If WotC strips slavery from the setting, I think SJG might have gotten themselves hoisted by their own petard.

But it's got me thinking.

Two different games, from different companies widely separated geographically BOTH on an anti-slavery snit?

Group think be real, yo.
